Cardinals

Every morning when I wake up which is usually around noon I find my self really excited for next Sunday's game. Now I don't expect the Cardinals to make the Superbowl because they are an Arizona franchise and we all know how bad those are but I have always believed that something has to happen to change every Arizona fans mentality that our teams will never succeed. With the Diamondbacks it was Gonzo's hit that proved we should win when we all thought the Diamondbacks and B.Kim were going to blow the World Series we deserved. I guess what I am saying is I think there will be a defining play in the upcoming game, or a player that does not let the Cardinals lose in order for us to win. Somebody on the Cardinals has to believe that we aren't doomed for eternity. If the Eagles make that play that makes you say WOW! like Fitzgerald has the past two games then I think they will win, but if Fitzgerald can somehow make the play again for the third straight week I think our team will really fuel off that and start to think damn if Larry is doing that we should go to the Superbowl because it is our year. That being said it has been a good run and I was content beating the Falcons, I didn't even know they played football in January until this year. The main thing that I hope comes out of this season is that people start to believe that the Cardinals can do something besides suck and I think this game against the Eagles will effect the future of the franchise bad or good. But the good news is we get a Hall of Famer if we keep Fitzgerald for any amount of time.

  1. Every morning you should wake up and dream about that UofA Bowl Game hat you never picked up. I think my mom is starting to take a liking toward it.

  2. I share Tyler's desire for a real Arizona fan culture but I don't think one will ever emerge in the desert. There are too many people who have moved to Arizona from other places. The downtown has no soul. The community has no shared culture. Instead of dreaming of the day when Arizona fans are dedicated be happy for those that are...like us. This has all been like a fantasy and we should enjoy it. The climate and class disparity in Arizona keeps people seperated in a way that stifles community. Its similar in LA where the only true fans are those that live in the downtown area and around Chavez Rivine.
