I realize this is Arizona Cardinals week but I thought I should say a few things about the basketball games last night. I was not surprised that UCLA dispatched us the way they did. We are going to struggle against aggressive defense and three point shooting. UCLA excels at both and they made it apparent last night. The Bruins had no answer for Jordan Hill in the middle but it didn't matter because we couldn't stop them beyond the arch. USC plays a similar style and they have a player to defend Hill so it could be a long weekend for the Cats.
As for the Suns, they dearly missed Shaq. Toward the end of the game Grant Hill made a great move to win the game and was fouled without a call but I don't think we should have been in that position. With Shaq on the floor we would have been up 10 or 20 pts by the end of the game. I am confident the Suns are moving in the right direction and I look forward to watching them on MLK day against the Celtics.
