All of the commentary on the game from last weekend is asking the question, Is this the fastest defense since the Desert Swarm? Well I was watching the game with Jeremy, Eric and many, many cocktails and even I could see that the defense is dominant. I really wish we were playing a better team this weekend so that we could get a better idea of the offense (though we seemed to move it on the ground with ease).
What are the thoughts from the members of the ASD that were at the game?
Our weakest point was finishing off drives, which will be aided greatly by the addition of Gronkowski by the time Iowa rolls around. Dykes and Scott both were quoted saying the offense was vanilla for a reason, to break in the newcomers, but I for one was impressed with the results. 448 yards for a quarterbacks first game? I understand it's a MAC team and Scott looked mostly average throwing the ball, but it's impressive game management nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteI wish a receiver would become good because we need a good receiver. And I think Foles will eventually end up as our QB but other than that we looked good.
