Everywhere I read, listen or watch sports coverage I find experts predicting that the Cardinals will lose to the Packers. I realize we may not have Anquan Boldin or Calais Campbell but I find it hard to believe that the Packers will come into our stadium for a third time and beat us (1st time in pre-season, 2nd time in meaningless week 17).
Vegas has us as a 1 point favorite and it is moving down. It may be a pick'em by gametime. I just have a feeling that the Cardinals defense will have one of its monster games this week. I fully expect to win and I think we will win comfortably.
Here is my four team playoff parlay:
Cincy -2.5
Philly +4
Baltimore +3.5
Arizona -1
Cincy is another team that everyone is discounting. They are playing for a dead player and they have a home playoff game. I realize everyone says that the Jets are built to beat them but I say bet against a rookie QB on the road. Philly is streaky and they were embarrassed last week in Dallas, they get revenge this week. I like Baltimore because I am not convinced that New England is any good. Releasing Brady's injury information (hurt ribs and fingers) this late in the season seems to be about providing an excuse for his play.
Other items:
Gilbert Arenas has officially joined Brian Williams a.k.a Byson Dele as a former Arizona Wildcats that is totally bonkers and that makes me uncomfortable to remember how much I used to cheer for them.
I have been trying very hard to not enjoy the play of Brandon Jennings. It pains me to think how good the Cats could have been with Jennings, Budinger, Hill and Wise. (Does he change the outcome of the Lousiville game? I think so) But I love the new haircut. He seems like a fun player. I hope the Bucks don't pay him a ton of money and let him think that he is above the game.

For the national championship tonight I really like Texas. I realize that on the College Bowl Mania I am firmly entrenched in the 6 percentile of players (embarrassing) but I just have a feeling about the Longhorns. Should be a good game either way.
Two players have left in this past week that are of interest to the ASD. Garland Judkins (I considered making this news its own post. I was going to highlight his career at Arizona, biggest stat DNPs and Suspensions) is transferring off the Arizona basketball team. Is it possible that Judkins resurfaces some place and plays a crucial role like J.P. Prince in Tennessee?
Also, Randy Johnson is retiring from baseball. The Arizona Diamondbacks are about to get their first Hall of Famer, that is awesome. Perhaps we should do something on the website to commemorate this occasion...hmm think of the graphic design possibilities (Glen get to work on this).
