Well it has been a wild couple of weeks since the Cats made the tournament and won their first two games. Jeremy, Phil and I dominated in vegas. I wish I could say the same for my bracket. I still have my final four and I got 12 of the sweet 16 but I trail in most of the groups I have joined.
The Cats have played well and taken care of business against a couple of mediocre teams. Part of me wishes that they had played Wake Forest because that would have shown whether or not the Cats have a legit shot at the final four.
If they beat the overall number 1 seed that will certainly tell us something.
Can it be done?
What would have to happen for the cats to withstand the pressure?
Should they play zone?
Should they press?
Part of me thinks Louisville is too deep and too athletic for us.
I just hope the refs let our big 3 play so we can see if we can beat them talent on talent.
Thoughts?
I think Louisville is the weakest of the number 1 seeds. Would you rather play Pitt, UNC or UConn? If we can handle the press and make them pay for pressing by getting some easy buckets I think we can take the game into the final 8 minutes with a chance to win. I will be surprised if we lose by more than the current point spread of nine. But the sweet sixteen run made a very crappy basketball season turn into something to remember.
