North star Bejarano commits to UA

Musa - I need a scouting report on this guy.

After two days in Tucson, talking to players, joking with coaches and feeling a trust, Phoenix North High basketball star Daniel Bejarano gave University of Arizona an oral commitment Thursday night.
“This is where I belong,” said the 6-foot-5 senior swingman who will sign his letter of intent next month.
It’s been whirlwind week for Bejarano, who decommitted from Texas, was dropped by Arizona State and romanced by the Wildcats.

“I felt that trust,” he said. “The coaches are tremendous. They joke and make you feel like you’re one of them. The home visit (last week) by Sean Miller was incredible. The rest of the coaches are great.
“I feel this is where my dad would want me to be.”
Bejarano had gotten close to his father, former Phoenix Carl Hayden player Damian Gosa, before Gosa was shot and killed during the summer, while Bejarano was at an All-American camp back East.
Bejarano said he got close to not only the coaches Wednesday and Thursday during his official recruiting trip, but to the UA players, particularly freshman guard Lamont “Momo” Jones, who could be the team’s point guard of the future.
“I started a good relationship with Momo,” Bejarano said. “He was telling me, ‘I need someone to pass the ball to.’ ‘’
Bejarano said that the film of Xavier basketball that Miller showed him was impressive.
“I love the way they play,” he said of the style that Miller will bring with him from Xavier as the new UA coach.
Bejarano, a three-time Metro Region Player of the Year, made the Republic’s All-Arizona his junior season when he averaged 21 points and 10 rebounds, leading the Mustangs to the state championship.
