Stoops mentioned top-10 teams, which leads into an unhappy factoid for the Wildcats, courtesy of the Tucson Citizen: Stoops is 0-7 on the road against top-10 teams at Arizona, and none of those defeats came by fewer than 18 points. The Wildcats have been outscored 291-119 in those games.Per: Ted Miller's Pac-12 Blog
And Juron's out?! What are your guys' picks for this week's contest against the #9 Oklahoma St. Cowboys?
I got the Pokes in this one, unfortunately 42-24...
...the homer in me hopes for a 50-0 skunking that includes a go-for-two on the 7th and final touchdown. Suck it, Blackmon.
Beyond my initial pessimism, though, I think the 'Cats have a fighting chance if the inexperienced line can keep Nick Foles off the ground against the upperclassmen from Okie St. Our defensive front four should be able to put some pressure on Weeden, and that could translate into some big plays from Golden, Wade and company.
If we can win the turnover battle and force some early on, I don't see why we can't win going away with the athletes we have on offense.
You know when you are kid and you do something disappointing (like get a bad grade or break a family heirloom) and you know when you get home you are in big trouble? That is what I have felt like all day, dreading going home and facing the consequences of another UofA embarrassment.
