Every time the Cats play the Huskies my dad spends the entire game complaining about Venoy Overton. He has a good reason, Overton is incredibly annoying and seems to sway the outcome of the game. He is not an especially talented player but he is good at driving the opposing team insane.
As always he had a few key plays in last night's game. He was on the receiving end of a vicious alley-oop, he completed a circus layup and got Solo to lose his composure. I realize that Isaiah Thomas was a much bigger problem for the Cats but Overton always seems to stick out in my mind when we lose to UW.
He is like the guy at the pick'up game who is playing a little too intensely, running under people as they go for layups, and throwing not so accidental elbows. Like Raja Bell, Matt Barnes, Danny Ainge, John Starks, Doug Christie, and Bruce Bowen before him, he has an important skill that makes the opposing team's fans cry for blood. UofA never seems to have a guy like Overton. Reggie Geary and Eugene Edgerson may have been the closest. I had hoped that Kevin Parrom would fill this roll but he hasn't yet.
I hate to think that UofA's tournament chances have been spoiled by this nuisance (which many have predicted it has) but it brings up a good question for the ASD, what do we call this type of player (lets be a little more creative than "punk" or "@**hole). Who are the top five? Who are the top five against Arizona?
I look forward to your thoughts...and I am sending this question in to Bill Simmons for his morning chat.

Kevin Garnett has to be near the top. Not only is he an asshole, he's a damn talented player too.
