Onondaga defeats CCBC-Essex for second consecutive men's national junior college lacrosse title!
May 10, 2010
Herkimer, N.Y. -- Onondaga Community College (N.Y.) cruised past CCBC-Essex, Md. 17-4 to win the 2010 NJCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship. OCC wins the national title for the second straight year and for the fourth title in five seasons.
OCC's Shayne Jackson earned the first-ever Steve Cavanana Most Outstanding Offensive MVP Award as hey led the Lazers with six goals. Ian O’Bien, the OCC goalie, was awarded the Defensive MVP of the Tournament (11 Saves).
By the way CCBC - Essex mascot is the Knights. So the Lazers defeated the Knights for the Championship. In unrelated news Otis Day and the Nights were not in attendance at this contest. Nor where they anywhere near a World Cup Soccer "match" because they don't care about the World Cup just like everybody else in America.
Steve Cavanana was a lock to win Most Outstanding Offensive MVP Award. You could see him maturing a lot from last season. P.S. You may be a more immature 50 year old than Tom Cruise.
