NBA Playoff Predictions

The Suns made it happen last night and are now the 3rd seed. "You know the story about the boy that suddenly got everything he wanted? He lived happily ever after." Lets hope it works out that way for the Suns as they face the Roy-less Blazers. I have included the above coverage of the 1990s playoffs to remind us of our longstanding playoff rivalry with the Blazers. Hopefully the outcome will be different than it was 20 years ago.

Lets see some predictions, pick the series winners and in how many games:

West
Lakers v Thunder

Mavs v Spurs

Suns v Blazers

Nuggets v Jazz

East
Cavs v Bulls

Orlando v Bobcats

Hawks v Bucks

Celtics v Heat

  2. Lakers in 7. There's no LA answer for Westbrook. In the end LA's payroll has too much depth for the SuperSonics.

    Spurs in 6.
Duncan starts playing the point and shreds Jose Barea with sick crossovers and no-look passes.

    Suns in 6.
The amazing Jerryd Bayless just isn't enough to top Phoenix's secret weapon, Goran Dragic, without his superhero sidekick, BRoy.

    Nuggets in 7.
The best series of the first round, Josh Smith will catch fire and hit 8 threes in game 7.

    Hawks in 5.
The Bucks will surprise and win game one. But, in SAT prep courses they apparently do not inform you that in the NBA you have to play defense. Mike Bibby shows what a real Wildcat can do and poops on Brandon Jennings. Figuratively via the stat-sheet at least, it remains to be seen whether or not he literally attempts to.

    Celtics in 7.
Dwayne Wade will jump the Heat out to a 2-0 series lead before realizing his supporting cast is God-awful.

    LeBrons in 5.
Noah will get into someone's head with his shouting and melodramatic antics. Most likely Kirk Heinrich.

    Orlando in 4.
People will start to question whether or not "His Airness" is talented or clutch enough to win a playoff round.
