I have been trying to figure out what Arizona could have done differently against Cal. We gave up too many yards on the ground. We seemed to run on every 1st and 2nd down in the first half. Our kicking game was inconsistent. Antolin had a huge fumble in the first half. And of course the freak play with the deflected pass. I don't know if Zendejas could have made a game winning field goal even if we didn't have a penalty.
The lose makes the next three games "must wins." There are other ways that we can get to the Rose Bowl but winning all three clinches it. I really have trouble seeing us win all 3 particularly with two on the road. We have won 3 in a row once this season against Stanford, UCLA, Wazzu all at home.
Can anyone provide a reason to hope?
